Rob Grim

Rob is an expert in the field of blockchain applications in the financial sector and health care. He participated in the OECD Blockchain Policy forum in September this year in Paris. Rob is a sparring partner for the data driven lab for FAIR data, data governance, privacy protection and data infrastructures. Rob holds a university degree in Psychology, with emphasis on methodology and statistics. Rob works at the EDSC data center at the EUR, which is part of the University Library.

Rob Grim has more than 20 years of experience as an (international) data expert. Rob combines knowledge of data governance with an in-depth knowledge of technical, infrastructural, legal aspects of data and data standards. As executive manager at the Open Data Foundation (ODaF), he was involved in the development of SDMX, the data standard for the exchange of statistical data that is e.g. used by the WHO. Rob has extensive experience with data management issues in the financial and healthcare sector and the interoperability of jurisdictions in relation to data.
